~~ Fun in the Kenai~~

Page Two

The mountains that ring Resurrection Bay host a variety of bird and mammal species. Here are a
few we were lucky enough to photograph while in Seward.

Puffins nesting on the side of a cliff.

Stellar sea lion, listed as a threatened species in 1990.

Mountain goat grazing on side of cliff.

Homer lies at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula. We tried our hand at fishing for halibut and salmon,
and did fairly well.

Rick's first time fishing, ever. Not too shabby, eh?

You might think that this was Rick's fish, the way he's grinning. It's not -- it's mine.

If I look like I'm gloating, it's because I am. Two nice halibut and a king salmon!
