~~ Chicken, Alaska ~~

Chicken is an odd little place near to the top of the world. It is about 20
miles west of the Canadian border and is located at the end of the paved
part of the Taylor Highway Cutoff portion of the Glenn Highway. Its population
during the summer is around two dozen. During the winter there are six or so
hardly souls who remain behind. Chicken's water supply is trucked in,
electricity comes from generators, and there is no phone or cell service.
Yet it has an RV park, a cafe, and some gift shops -- and friendly people!

The skies clear and a rainbow appears over an old gold dredge.
